eVisa Information

E-Visa is only for tourism purposes. But students and expatriates can also apply for an eVisa as long as their country meets the eVisa requirements for students and expatriates. It is advisable to apply for a business visa from the nearest Malaysian High Commission, Consulate, or Embassy of the country concerned for business purposes.

There are several advantages of an eVisa compared to a regular visa. Processing time for e-Visas is much faster than traditional visas, so applicants can expect their e-Visas to be returned quickly. The eVisa payment system is also relative. Applicants can pay their eVisa fees by credit card without going through a lengthy process.

Required documents

If you qualify for a Malaysian eVisa, you can apply online through the eVisa service. However, the Bhutanese need to stock up on a few things to get started:

• Passport - with a minimum validity of 6 months.
• Passport photo - It should be of good quality and also fit all the dimensions of the best passport photo.
• Scan the main page of your passport - the scan must be correct, including all pages of the applicant's information.
• Round-trip tickets – eVisa only allows you one round-trip flight.
• Itinerary – a paper in which you describe the places you will visit in Malaysia.
• Proof of accommodation - a hotel confirmation or letter from the host.
• Birth certificate – if your child wants to travel with you.
• Email address - We use the email address as a link between you and us. We will post any updates on your eVisa status there and if we need any other documents, we will let you know through that.
• Payment Methods - Online credit/debit card payments, if you have a PayPal account you can use that too.

How to apply for Malaysia online e visa from Bhutan?

Bhutanese citizens need to get an online visa to visit Malaysia. Malaysia's online e-visa process requires you to follow these steps.

• Gather all the necessary documents required for a Malaysia tourist visa, including a passport and any other supporting documents.
• Check that your Bhutanese passport is valid for at least six months from your arrival in Malaysia. If not, apply for a new Bhutanese passport.
• Go to the Malaysia tourist visa website, complete the online application form, and provide personal information and passport details.
• After filling in, Upload a scanned copy of all the supporting documents.
• Pay the eVisa fee using a credit or debit card online on the website and wait for your visa application to be processed.
• Once the visa application for Malaysia is approved, the eVisa is sent to the applicant by email. Print a copy of this email and another document, if any.
• Upon arrival in Malaysia, present a confirmation email and your Bhutan passport to the immigration officer at the counter.
